Rosie White

I use found objects and recycled materials to create artwork using a stitched method. Growing up in Sweden, I moved to England as a teenager and studied applied pattern and design, painting and textile art at The Arts Institute (Bournemouth). Moving to Australia in 2000 I studied silver smithing, making and selling fine silver knitted jewellery, and completed a BA in Art at Curtin University and an MA in SPI at UNSW.

In 2018 I held a solo exhibition, ‘In Stitches’, bringing together a curated selection of textile pieces. Working in both a traditional and non-traditional way I have experimented extensively to uncover the potential of materials.
